Elvira belongs to my line of round critters - a series of cute animal mascots with spherical bodies, large feet and utterly adorable faces. This plush stands about 10 cm tall (almost 14 cm with its tail) and will sit perfectly in the palm of your hand. Fluffy fur, unruly whiskers and pointy cat ears add to this plush's overall cuteness factor.
Elvira's looks are inspired by the Persian, a breed of longhaired cats that are easily recognizable by their rich furcoats and stubby noses. Persians come in a wide range of colors and Elvira is a red Persian with white. She has orange eyes and is covered by long and slightly shaggy looking tan colored fur. She has four fuzzy paws that are firmly attached to her belly and a s-shaped tail with a white tail tip. Elvira has large, pointy ears with pink insides and a cute oval shaped face with a triangular pink nose at its center, a small patch of white around the mouth and adorable whiskers that seem to spread out in every direction.
Elvira has been made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entirely pet free as I have a cat.
Elvira's body and tail are made from two shades of regular quality faux fur with a pile length of 15 mm. Hight quality minky with a pile length of 3 mm has been used for the face, paws and ears. The inside of the ears are made from velour. The eyes and nose are made of plastic and measure 12 mm across. Both eyes and nose are of safety standard and are locked into place by washers. The whiskers are made from fishing line. Elvira has been stuffed with siliconized polyester fibres.
