Meet Archimedes, Amy, Natasha, Toshi, Petri, Strawberry and Oscar. These colorful and precious owls sit about 5 cm tall and look at the world with curious and mischievous black eyes.
They belong to the first generation of Really Tiny owls and were made back when my stock of furry fabrics was limited to only a handful of colors. Each owl has a tiny silk loop on top of its head that is hidden among the fur. It can be used to attach a string for easy hanging.
These little cuties have been made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entirely pet free as I have a cat.
Archimedes has a petrol colored body with a red belly and a white face. The body is made from high quality faux fur with a pile length of around 10 mm. The belly is made from regular faux fur with the same pile length. The face is made from minky and has a pile length of around 5 mm. These fur lengths, combined with the tiny size, makes for fluffy and utterly adorable owl. The grey beak is made from synthetic suede, a fabric resembling brushed leather. Archimedes' eyes measure 5 mm across and are made of glass. They are attached with embedded wire loops and are NOT safety eyes. Archimedes' body is lightly stuffed with polyester filling.
Amy has a black body with a red belly and a white face. Both body and belly are made from regular faux fur with a pile length of around 12 mm and 10 mm respectively.
