Lottie belongs to my line of round critters - a series of cute animal mascots with spherical bodies, large feet and utterly adorable faces. This plush stands about 14 cm tall (almost 18 cm with its tail) and will fit comfortably in the cup of your hands.
Lottie is made from various shades of faux fur. Aside from sewn in stripes and patches of white, she features some details not found on her smaller counterparts, such as realistic looking luxuary fur, whisker pads and embroidered paws. She has a cute oval shaped face with large green eyes, a triangular shaped brown nose at its center and a patch of white around her mouth. A black, horizontal stripe runs along the top of her face and ties in well with the stripes on her body and tail. The fur that forms the base on Lottie's face and body is of a light taupe color and has a dark band of brown that runs across each hair and creates a mottled effect. The stripes and ears are black and the inside of her ears are pink. Lottie has four white paws with pink paw pads. Each of the paws has been firmly attached to her white belly. Unruly whiskers jutting out from plump whisker pads, pointy cat ears and a tail held in a S-shape all add to Lottie's overall cuteness factor.
Lottie has been made in an environment free of cigarette smoke and perfume, but not entirely pet free as I have a cat.
Lottie's body is made from two different types of faux fur with a 15 mm pile in common. The black and white furs are of regular quality, while the fur used for the rest of the body is of a higher and more luxorious quality. The same fur has been used for the face and has been carefully shorn to match the shorter fur found below the whisker pads and to promote the facial details. The paws and whisker pads are made from high quality minky with a 3 mm nap. The inside of the ears are made from dense upholstery velour. The eyes and nose are made of plastic and measure 16 mm and 15 mm across respectively. Both eyes and nose are of safety standard and are locked into place by washers. Faux suede, a fabric that resembles brushed leather, has been used to cover the nose, giving it a soft texture and changing it's color. The whiskers are made from fishing line. Lottie has been stuffed with siliconized polyester fibres.
